Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Fragrant spicy red to dark raspberry, ripe cherry and red liquorice aromas intermingle with dried herbs, subtle earth and pepper notes. Light to medium bodied, succulent ripe raspberry and cherry fruits overlay a back drop of fresh herbs, light earth and spice. Fine polished tannins. Bright, slightly dryish finish with vibrant acidity leading into a fresh medium length aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

Rarely try the wines from Spinifex, so happy to taste them, even though I didn’t know I was trying them at the time, if you take my meaning. Pardon Garçon! Think this is a new wine into the range, with 2017 being the current release. Meaty, umami, dried mint, mixed berries. Feels very natural and unforced, sour cherry and red berries, smooth silty tannin, earthy too, almost like a Morgon, but don’t mind me! Slick of tannin, like graphite, with dried herb, sausage and ripe red fruit to close. Bloody lovely. Mineral. So well made. Drink 2019-2028.
