2018 Shadowfax Chardonnay

Matured in French oak hogsheads. Brilliant pale straw colour with a distinct greenish tinge around the edges and a watery hue. Aromas of ripe nectarine and dried honey intermix with light cashew, biscuity oak, citrusy nougat characters and spice. Rich fleshy peach and nectarine fruits combine with dried honey, biscuity oak, subtle grilled nuts, citrusy nougat and spice to form a well rounded creamy textural feel. Excellent intensity and breadth across the palate with balanced acidity and a long richly textured finish.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

Make hay. A bobbie dazzler of a wine. Excellent intensity and mouthfeel, good length, complex without getting all uppity about it. Straw-coloured, peach-driven, toasty, sparked with mineral. Celebratory chardonnay. Drink 2019-2025.
