Matured in French oak. Impenetrable inky black heart with a very deep dark purple black tinged hue. Aromas of dark plums, ripe blueberries and liquorice emerge from the glass trailed by hints of vanillin oak, earth and spicy fennel. Possessing terrific fruit intensity and depth the palate is saturated with rich dark plum, liquorice and blackberry flavours which are underpinned by vanillin cedar and spicy fennel elements. Opulent mouthfeel with sturdy yet velvet like tannins and juicy acidity leading into a long plush aftertaste.
