2018 Scotchmans Hill Pinot Noir

Matured in new to four year old French barriques for 12 months with 15% whole bunch included in the ferment. Semi translucent dark red core with tinges of black to the edges and a light red hue. Perfumed violet like top notes intermix with red to dark cherries, ripe strawberries and a whiff of anise. Light forest floor, fresh herb and spicy cedar notes are also present. Elegant, seamlessly integrated flavours of ripe dark cherries, strawberries, subtle forest floor, spicy cedar and delicate infusions of fresh herbs decorate the mouth. Supple mid palate with a polished feel to the finely grained tannins. Good power with a long savoury conclusion.
