2018 Savaterre Frere Cadet Pinot Noir

Semi translucent dark red core with black tinged edges and a light rusty red hue. Perfumed like scents of violets, red to dark cherries, winter strawberries and dried clove rise from the glass with notions of forest floor, a hint of dried meats and spicy cedar also present. Light and elegant but possessing plenty of drive, savoury dark cherry, strawberry and clove flavours marry into forest floor, spicy dried herbs and lightly toasted cedar. Good structure with fine grained tannins and a long dried herb edged aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
