2018 Santolin Gruyere Pinot Noir

Matured in French oak, 25% new for 10 months. Semi translucent dark red core with black tinged edges and a light brick red hue. Elevated dark cherry and wild strawberry scents infused with dried herbs emanate from the glass with forest floor and spicy cedar notes ensuing. Light and supple, the dried herb laced cherry and wild strawberry fruits provide the wine with a savoury edge. Notions of forest floor, dried meats and spicy cedar add complexity. Polished tannin structure with good power concluding long and refined.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
