2018 Rusden Chookshed Zinfandel

Incredibly dense and inky black in colour with a deep dark red black hue. Powerful scents of black plum, liquorice and morello cherries erupt out of the glass overlaying vanillin oak, dark chocolate, some earth, spicy cinnamon and raisin like notes. Thick and rich with amazing intensity and depth, decadent black plum, dark chocolate, liquorice and raisined dried morello cherry fruits pound the palate into submission. Voluptuous, silky smooth mouthfeel with spicy vanillin oak, cinnamon and faint scorched earth sitting underneath. Ripe tannins have a velvety feel and lead into a vey long power packed finish that’s shaded by some heat. A blockbuster Zin that’s not for the faint of heart.
