2018 Rolf Binder RHB Reserve Shiraz
Rolf Binder’s RHB Shiraz bears his father’s initials and is a tribute to his traditional winemaking style of rich full bodied reds. The fruit was sourced from a number of vineyards located in various sub regions of the Barossa Valley with a portion of Eden Valley fruit also included to give the wine more complexity. Maturation took place in American oak barrels for a period of 22 months.
Silky smooth, seductive and beautifully balanced.
Pitch black at its heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. A fragrant bouquet of dark plum, blackberry and liquorice fruits engulf the olfactory senses with notions of vanillin oak, mocha and spicy earth also present. Medium to full bodied, richly fruited and silky smooth, the palate is decorated with lush, dark plum, blackberry and liquorice fruits which overlay a spicy vanillin oak, subtle earth and mocha back drop. Velvety tannins concluding long, plush and beautifully balanced.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
