Matured for 9 months in French oak. Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a light red hue. Lifted ripe dark cherry aromas mix with anise, toasty oak, forest floor and spice. Savoury mid weighted palate with spicy ripe dark cherry and anise flavours melding into smoked herbs, earthy forest floor characters and dried meats. Quite polished in its feel with finely grained tannins and a medium length conclusion.
