This is one of Rieslingfreak’s single vineyard wines with the fruit sourced from a vineyard known locally as the ‘Hill River Vineyard’. Max Schubert, the creator of Penfolds Grange, planted the first vines on the property in 1981.

Brilliant water like core with a distinctive greenish tinge around the outskirts. Intense lemon and lime scents intermix with notions of orange rind, chalky talc, wet steel and flinty mineral notes. Very dry and austere, powerful flavours of lemon, lime and crunchy green apple are pinned back by razor sharp, steely acidity which gives the wine an electric feel. Chalky back drop with infusions of flinty mineral on the zesty finish. Long zingy lime, lemon zest, green apple, wet steel and flinty mineral aftertaste.
Cellar 8-10 years.
Alc. 11%
