2018 Ravensworth Estate Sangiovese

Matured in a 2800 litre foudre for 22 months. Dark red in colour with black tinged edges and a light red hue. Spicy red currant and red cherry aromas mix with earthy dried herb notes followed by a whiff of violets and light tobacco. Bright juicy red cherry and red currant flavours adorn the palate with a spread of dried herb, earthy leather and spicy tobacco characters sitting underneath. Excellent concentration with bright acidity and slightly chalky tannins leading into a slightly dryish yet long finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
