2018 Quarisa Johnny Q Shiraz

Dense inky black heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Wafting out of the glass with plenty of intensity are ripe blackberry, dark chocolate and liquorice scents followed by some toasty vanillin oak, earth and spice. The rich medium to full bodied palate is well endowed with opulent spicy ripe blackberry and liquorice fruits. Some earthy dark chocolate elements are also evident. Polished tannins with toasty vanillin oak lingering right through to the plush mid length aftertaste.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.

Straight up it pours on the flavour and it keeps it going pretty well through to the finish. If you like them big and bold then you've got a live one here. Black/red berries, violets and resiny vanilla. An aftertaste of mocha. Substantial. Drink by 2026.
