2018 Powell & Son Schulz Shiraz

Magnificent colour displaying a saturated inky black core with a very deep black dark red hue. Heady aromatics of blackberry, fresh plum and liquorice intoxicate the senses with hints of black cherry, vanillin cedar, scorched earth, fennel and peppered dried herbs ensuing. Dense, rich and intense the palate is engulfed with opulent blackberry, black cherry, liquorice and ripe blueberry fruits that have an underlying freshness to them. Vanillin oak, fennel and peppered earth elements lie underneath. Exceptionally powerful with a velvet like yet muscular tannin structure. Long vibrant black fruited aftertaste.
