The Loechel Eden Valley Shiraz is sourced from a single vineyard at the Southern tip of the Eden Valley township planted over half a century ago by the Loechel family. Maturation is in French oak barriques for 18 months.
Impenetrable black as night heart with a very deep bright dark red black hue. Intense blackberry and liquorice scents mix with smoked meats, earthy black olive, dried herb, spicy cedar and blackpepper notes. Rich and plump yet also simultaneously refined, the palate features spicy blackberry and liquorice fruits over toasty vanillin cedar, dried meats and peppered herb characters. Bright youthful finish with sturdy yet fine grained tannins and a long savoury aftertaste.
