2018 Port Phillip Estate Red Hill Chardonnay

Matured in French oak (15% new) and aged on lees for 11 months. Brilliant pale straw colour with a glimmer of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. Drifting from the glass are aromas of white peaches, nectarine, biscuity nougat and subtle dried honey followed by hints of bees wax and spice. Intense fresh white peach, nectarine and dried honey flavours overlay citrusy nougat, faint cashew and spice characters. Finishes fresh yet there’s a subtle creamy textural quality to the mouthfeel. Long white peach, dried honey, biscuity nougat, cashew and spice aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
