Totally opaque black dark purple core with a dark purple hue. The nose slowly yields aromas of liquorice, blackberry and dark plum with vanillin cedar, light scorched earth and blackpepper also making an appearance. Medium bodied the palate serves up juicy liquorice, black cherry and plum fruits over subtle vanillin cedar and peppered herb characters. Good flesh with sturdy yet well integrated tannins, bright acidity and a medium length finish.
