2018 Peter Lehmann H&V Shiraz

Matured in oak hogsheads for 12 months. Impenetrable inky black in colour with a very deep dark purple black hue. Blackberry, liquorice and dark plum fruits show good lift out of the glass followed by vanillin cedar, light fennel and hints of pepper. Rich blackpepper infused liquorice and blackberry fruits overlay dark plum and spicy vanillin cedar elements. Fresh, slightly inky finish with fine grained yet also a shade chalky tannins. Tightly knit medium length aftertaste.
