From 60 year old vines matured for 24 months in French oak. Dense inky black heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Sailing out of the glass are intense aromas of blackcurrant and dark choc mint which are complimented by vanillin cedar, hints of mulberry, tobacco and spicy bay leaf. The rich medium to full bodied palate is awash with ripe blackcurrant and choc mint flavours. Vanillin cedar, earthy tobacco, mulberry, bay leaf and spice echo through the back half. Beautifully integrated fine grained tannins with a long polished finish.
