2018 One Remarkable Barrel Bottling No. 2 Shiraz

From vines 120 years old, the resultant wine was matured for 24 months in a seasoned American oak puncheon barrel. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Pronounced dark plum and liquorice scents meld into some prominent vanillin oak, mocha, earth and spice notes. Flashy and opulent with a silky smooth texture, the palate features ripe dark plum, mocha and liquorice flavours over toasty vanillin oak, earth and spice. Velvety tannins with a sumptuous vanillin oak laden aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
