2018 Olivier Leflaive Cote-de-Beaune Villages

Dark red in colour with black shaded edges and a red hue. Spicy sour to red cherry scents infused with fresh herbs and violets drift from the glass trailed by some earth and spicy cedar notes. Light to medium weight the palate is nicely endowed with ripe red cherry, strawberry and red currant fruits which meld into a dusty earth, fresh herb and spicy cedar background. Slightly grainy tannins and bright acidity concluding with a savoury red fruited aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
