2018 Old Plains Power of One Old Vine Shiraz

Sourced from vines planted in the 1950’s this wine was matured for 30 months in French oak barriques. Pitch black in colour with a deep dark red black hue. Pronounced dark plum and liquorice scents are complimented by smoky vanillin cedar, fennel and peppered earth notes. Rich, heavy and voluptuously textured the palate is drenched in lavish dark plum and liquorice fruits which meld into subtlety smoked vanillin cedar, earthy fennel and pepper elements. Silky smooth tannins with a long seductive finish that sees a touch of mocha poking through.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
