2018 Oakridge Vineyard Series Henk Pinot Noir
Matured for 10 months in French oak barrels. Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a crimson red hue. Perfumed scents of violets, dark cherries, strawberries and anise engulf the nostrils with notions of forest floor, spicy cedar and fresh herbs also evident. Light and supple in its feel the palate is decorated with delicious dark cherry and strawberry fruits which overlay anise, spicy cedar and delicate fresh herb infusions. Very polished, super fine tannins finishing with ample freshness on the medium to long aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 13.1%
Other Reviews….
Clones 777 and MV6, the standard Oakridge vinification ever seeking maximum expression of the variety and sense of place. Good colour; the penetration of the wine is a feature deriving from the inherent purity and natural balance of red and black cherry fruit. Wonderful wine. Drink by 2033.
