2018 Nugan Estate Alfredo Frasca's Lane Sangiovese

Matured in seasoned barrels for 12 months. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red purple tinged hue. Inky freshly crushed dark berry aromas infused with fresh herbs are trailed by earth and subtle vanillin spice. Medium bodied with juicy dark cherry and plum fruit overlaid by toasty vanillin cedar on the back palate. Subtle earthy spice nuances are also apparent. Slightly dryish tannins with bright youthful acidity and a medium length aftertaste marked by a little too much lingering vanillin oak.
