2018 Mt. Wines Heathcote Sangiovese

Aged for 10 months in mature French oak barrels. Dark red in colour with black shaded edges and a red hue. Spicy red currant, rose petal and red cherry aromas meld into earthy cedar, tobacco and dried herb notes. Fresh red currant and red cherry fruits are underpinned by crunchy like acidity on the vibrant mid weighted palate. Earthy tobacco, spicy cedar and subtle herb characters ensue. Bright finish with slightly grainy tannins and an energised, savoury conclusion.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
