2018 Mr Riggs The Gaffer Shiraz

Impenetrable black core with a very deep dark red black hue. Sailing out of the glass are juicy blackberry, dark plum and liquorice scents which marry into hints of black cherry, vanillin cedar, fennel and light pepper. Rich and fleshy yet nicely structured the palate is awash with succulent blackberry, liquorice and dark plum fruits which overlay a back drop of vanillin cedar, traces of earth and pepper. Intense and opulently textured finishing with slightly drying, fine grained tannins and nicely balanced acidity. Excellent power with a long juicy dark fruited aftertaste that possesses a touch of youthful inkiness.
