2018 Monterra Elevage Shiraz

Impenetrable inky black heart with a deep black dark red hue. Potent ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark chocolate aromas leap out of the glass with ensuing vanillin oak, earthy mocha and spice notes. Bold blackberry, dark plum and liquorice fruits are delivered with ample richness across the medium to full bodied palate. Lying underneath are vanillin oak, earthy dark chocolate and spice nuances. Fleshy feel but far from overweight with polished tannins and a long aftertaste that has a touch of refinement to it.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
