2018 Monte Llano Rioja Tempranillo

Matured in oak barrels for 4-6 months. Deep black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Nosing reveals aromas of black cherries and liquorice followed by hints of dark chocolate, earth and spicy vanillin oak. Medium bodied, fleshy black cherry and liquorice fruits are cast across the palate underscored by vanillin cedar, earth and spice. Finishes with good freshness, finely structured tannins and an aftertaste that has a subtle chewy feel to it.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
