2018 Mike Press Single Vineyard Merlot

Matured in a combination of American and French oak for over 12 months. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Lifted ripe blackcurrant and mulberry aromas meld into toasty cedar, tobacco and spicy black olive notes. Medium bodied generous red to black currant fruits overlay toasty vanillin cedar, tobacco and spicy dried herb nuances. Good flesh finishing with a lick of fresh acidity and slightly chalky tannins. Concludes with a lively medium length aftertaste that sees the appearance of a subtle earthiness.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
