2018 Luigi Baudana Dragon Langhe Bianco

Dragon is a unique white blend from the Langhe. Originally produced by Luigi Baudana during the 1980’s with Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, it has evolved to embrace Nascetta, the most exciting white heirloom varietal of the Langhe, and a tiny amount of Riesling.

Brilliant pale straw colour with a subtle tinge of green around the edges and watery hue. Elevated aromas of lime and fresh pears meet up with notions of green apple, light herbs and minerals. Zippy lime and green apple flavours show excellent intensity over a dash of mandarin, infusions of fresh herbs and stony mineral characters. Finishes dry and crisp with a lengthy conclusion that’s quite moreish.
