Totally opaque black as night heart with a deep dark red black hue. Ripe black cherry and liquorice scents jump out of the glass followed by some toasty vanillin oak, black olive and peppered earth notes. Rich, plush entry with black cherry and liquorice fruits to the fore. Smoked meats, vanillin cedar, earth and blackpepper follow. Slightly chewy but ripe tannins impart some subtle grip onto the lengthy finish.
