2018 Josmeyer Le Kottabe Riesling

Brilliant pale straw colour with subtle tinges of green around the edges and a watery hue. Floral notes mix with lime juice, Granny Smith apple, light honeysuckle, hints of mandarin and flinty mineral notes. Vibrant, mineral infused lime juice, green apple and tangy mandarin flavours overlay a steely back drop. Finishes dry with zingy acidity and subtle infusions of honeysuckle coming through on the long, lively aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

Lifted notes of crushed citrus foliage set the aromatic tone on the nose of this wine. The dry palate keeps these vivid citrus notions but backs them with a riper backing track that suggests Mirabelle plum. The wine has elegance, sinuousness and a svelte but concentrated nature. The dry finish is fresh and appetizing. Drink by 2030.
