2018 Joseph Faiveley Bourgogne Pinot Noir

Quite deep in colour displaying a dark red core with black tinged edges and a light red hue. Fragrant violet, sour to red cherry and wild herb scents are trailed by delicate earth and spicy cedar notes. Light in body the savoury palate is decorated with red cherry and wild strawberry fruits. Notions of stony mineral, fresh herb infusions and spicy cedar lie in the background. Elegant yet with good underlying power it has a nicely balanced freshness, fine tannins and a medium length aftertaste. A good introduction to Burgundy that is also a solid value.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
