Deep bright dark red colour with black tinged edges and a light purple red hue. Perfumed aromatics of violets, rose petals, red cherries, raspberries and strawberries are followed by clove, infusions of fresh herbs, subtle inky earth and spicy incense notes. Very pretty and elegant, vibrant red fruits are littered across the palate with a dash of sour cherries freshening things up. Infusions of herbs, lightly smoked earth, incense and spice are also evident. Crunchy like acidity and finely grained tannins concluding long, bright and delicious.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 13%
Deep, vivid ruby. A complex, highly perfumed bouquet evokes ripe cherry and blackberry, along with building floral and exotic spice notes. Stains the palate with alluringly sweet black/blue fruit preserve, candied violet and spicecake flavors that deepen slowly on the back half while maintaining urgency. Displays a compelling blend of richness and finesse finishing strikingly long and precise, with repeating florality and harmonious tannins that come on late. Drink 2023-2032.
