Matured for 18 months in French oak barriques. Pitch black at its heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Nosing offers up red to black currant and mulberry scents which meld into cedary tobacco, black olive and bay leaf notes. Medium bodied the palate is generously endowed with red to black currant and ripe mulberry fruits which are supported by cedary tobacco, black olive and bay leaf elements. Fine grained tannins provide structure. Concludes medium to long.
