Best known for their work at Dandelion Vineyards, Heirloom is another venture of Elena and Zar Brooks. Embracing the principals of organic farming the fruit for this Cabernet Sauvignon was sourced from Heirlooms best Coonawarra vineyard and matured in French oak barriques of which 30% were new.

Rich and bold with a core of dense concentrated cassis like fruit, this is a Coonawarra Cabernet that puts depth and power on full show.

Spectacular depth of colour featuring an impenetrable inky black heart and an equally deep dark red black hue. Leaping out of the glass with great potency are ripe blackcurrant and liquorice aromas infused with mint. Mulberry, vanillin cedar, earthy tobacco and spicy dried herb notes then ensue. Rich and layered the amply weighted palate is awash with ripe blackcurrant, mulberry, liquorice and mint flavours which are underscored by vanillin cedar, accents of tobacco, subtle black olive and spicy dried herbs. The smooth opulent feel of the fruit backed by a solidly built matrix of tannins that provide a great framework. Deep and power packed with a long, plush yet structured aftertaste.
A bold Coonawarra Cabernet moulded in the style of Bowen Estate.
