2018 Heggies Vineyard Estate Chardonnay

Matured in French oak barriques for 11 months of which 28% were new. Brilliant pale straw colour with highlights of green around the edges and a watery hue. Aromas of nectarine, citrus and biscuity oak are intermeshed with some roasted almond and gun flint notes. An elegant mid weight expression, the palate features nectarine and pear fruit over a back drop of biscuity oak, roasted almond and citrusy nougat characters. Finishes dry and fresh with vibrant acidity and a refined medium length aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
