2018 Heathcote Winery Cravens Place Shiraz

Aged for a short period in a combination of French and American oak. Impenetrable inky black in colour with a very deep bright dark purple black hue. Lofty scents of liquorice, crushed blackberry and dark plum hold sway over subtle vanillin oak and light pepper. Plush and juicy with medium to full body weight, freshly crushed blackberry, plum and liquorice fruits prevail over vanillin oak, spicy clove characters and pepper. Slightly dryish tannins, bright fresh acidity and a medium length aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years.
