2018 Heartland Directors' Cut Shiraz

Matured in a combination of French and American oak hogsheads, 40% of which was new, for a period of 14 months. Pitch black heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Wafting from the glass are heady scents of blackberry, liquorice and dark plum infused with choc mint. Vanillin oak, mocha and spice ensue. Rich, expansive and luxurious in its feel, the mouth is flooded with luscious blackberry, liquorice and plum fruits which morph into elements of choc mint, vanillin oak and spicy mocha. Bright finish with nicely integrated velvet like tannins leading into a long super sleek conclusion.
