A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot matured in a mix of new and once used French oak barriques. Dense inky black heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Intense blackcurrant and liquorice aromas are trailed by spicy vanillin cedar, earth and light tobacco notes. Medium to full in body the palate is well endowed with rich blackcurrant and liquorice fruit. Vanillin cedar, earth, tobacco and spicy dried herbs play their part on the back half. Slightly grainy but otherwise polished tannins concluding long and powerful yet refined.
