2018 Gibson The Dirtman Shiraz

Matured in 70% new and used American oak and 30% used French oak. Midnight black colour with a deep dark red hue. Heady dark plum and liquorice aromas rise from the glass with vanillin oak, fennel, light earth and spice also present. Rich succulent dark plum, blackberry and liquorice fruits flood the plushly textured palate. Toasty vanillin oak, blueberry and spicy fennel sits underneath. Velvet smooth tannins with a long opulent aftertaste that sees the toasty vanillin oak component gain prominence.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
