2018 Giaconda Estate Vineyard Shiraz

Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Nosing offers up a complex matrix of aromatics that include spicy plum, liquorice, clove, smoked meats, vanillin cedar and peppered earth. Medium bodied and very supple in its feel, the refined palate has an expansive spread of dark plum and liquorice fruits running across it supported by elements of vanillin cedar, scorched earth, dried meats, spicy clove and blackpepper. Slippery yet structurally stern tannins. Shows excellent power, depth and richness whilst remaining fresh and relatively light on its feet. The long detailed aftertaste showing glorious finesse.
