The Figli Luigi Oddero 2018 Barolo is thin and rather timid in terms of its intensity. This laidback approach is reflective of a vintage that produced understated wines overall across the appellation. Redcurrant, dried violet, spice and light shadings of licorice add some aromatic momentum on the bouquet, but again, this vintage holds back in the end. Drink 2024 - 2035.

Rose, red berry, tilled earth and mint aromas emerge from the glass. The linear, elegantly structured palate features sour cherry, pomegranate, star anise and the same hazelnut note from the nose. Polished tannins and fresh acidity provide support. Drink 2023–2030.
