2018 Evans & Tate Redbrook Estate Chardonnay

Brilliant pale straw colour with distinct highlights of green running around the edges and a watery hue. Elevated pear and nectarine aromas meld into lemon butter and bees wax notes with some spicy biscuity oak, cashew and hints of gun flint also evident. Mid weighted nectarine and citrus fruits show a gleaming freshness over a lemon butter, bees wax, cashew and biscuity oak back drop. Lively dry finish with a subtle waxy feel to the medium length aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

Hand picked, whole-bunch pressed, wild ferment in barrel (35% new), 18% mlf, on lees for 16 months, stirred for 10, before a quiet, untouched 6 months on lees prior to bottling. Crushed cashew, white peach, briny acidity and silky phenolics on the palate. Seamless, creamy and classy, this is perfectly Margaret River, in a perfect year. Lovely stuff. Drink by 2030.
