2018 Estate Argyros Santorini Assyrtiko

Founded in 1903, the Argyros Estate is located on the island of Santorini. Today, Matthew Argyros, the fourth generation of family winemakers, continues his family's legacy by making wines from the iconic Assyrtiko grape and other indigenous Santorinian varietals, using traditional techniques.

Brilliant very pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Aromas of pears and light honeysuckle infused with flinty mineral notes are trailed by scents of lemon and fresh herbs. Beautifully textured, fresh and mouthfilling, flavours of peach, honeysuckle, pear and lime are backed by flinty mineral infused acidity which gives the dry finish a racy feel. Subtle fresh herb characters also kick in on the long zingy finish.
