2018 Elderton Ode to Lorraine Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz Merlot

A blend of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Shiraz and 4% Merlot aged in French oak puncheons, 30% of which are new, for a period of 28 months. Very deep black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Elevated blackcurrant and dark plum aromas mix with liquorice, vanillin cedar, earth and spicy dried herbs. Rich, silky and plush the palate is awash with dark plum, blackcurrant and liquorice fruits which meld into subtlety toasted vanillin cedar, dried herb, light earth and spice nuances. Velvety tannins. Excellent depth finishing long and smooth.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
