Other Reviews....
Paris's 2018 Cornas Granit 60 boasts remarkably pure notes of cracked pepper, blueberries and raspberries. Full-bodied, lush and creamy, it perfectly captures the ripe essence of Syrah, then adds a firm grounding of crushed stone and firm tannins on the finish. It should have close to two decades of longevity.

Saturated violet. Spice-tinged dark berries, potpourri, olive and exotic spices on the highly perfumed nose. Juicy, focused and appealingly sweet, offering densely packed black raspberry, cherry and candied violet flavors supported by a spine of juicy acidity. Gently chewy tannins add grip to an impressively persistent, mineral- and spice-tinged finish that strongly repeats the floral note. Drink 2024 - 2033.

More peppery, granite, and, meaty notes emerge from the 2018 Cornas Granit 60, and it too is full-bodied, beautifully textured, and layered. It's more focused and serious than the fruit-forward Granit 30 and is going to benefit from bottle age. Coming from 50-year-old vines, this cuvée is 70% destemmed and brought up in used barrels.
