Other Reviews....
Background hints of oak set off the very spicy and attractively fresh aromas of red currant, dark raspberry and a whiff of sandalwood. I very much like the seductive texture and volume to the delicious, intense and well-detailed flavors that also terminate in a youthfully austere finish. If this can add depth with time in bottle it should merit the upper end of my projected range.

The 2018 Vosne-Romanée is showing beautifully, soaring from the glass with a deep bouquet of wild berries, plums and cherries mingled with sweet spices, woodsmoke, grilled squab and rich soil tones. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, supple and velvety, with fine concentration, lively acids and an expansive finish.

The 2018 Vosne-Romanée Village, raised in around 25% new oak, has a very intense bouquet of black cherries and light iodine aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy black fruit tinged with graphite, leading to a precise finish that does not outstay its welcome. Very fine, but it will require three or four years in bottle.
