Louis Boillot in concert with his wife Ghislaine Barthod and their son Clément Boillot-Barthod manage a fabulous array of old-vine vineyards in both the Cotes de Nuits and Cotes de Beaune. Whilst this Burgundian ‘red-royalty’ family hold no Grand Cru vineyards they turn out some of the most beautiful red Burgundy along the Cote d’Or.

Other Reviews....
An elegant and airy mix features notes of red cherry, raspberry, pomegranate and spice. The sleek, intense and very well-detailed, indeed the mouthfeel of the middle weight flavors is chiseled though the tannins shaping the short finish are grippy and serrated. Drink 2023+.

Blossoming in the glass with a lovely bouquet of raspberries, cherries, dried flowers and blood orange, the 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Village is medium to full-bodied, lively and precise, with fine-boned structuring tannins and succulent acids. As usual, it's largely derived from the lieu-dit Beaux Bruns, part of which is only entitled to the communal appellation.

William Kelley - Wine Advocate (Feb 2020)

The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Village comes from two climats, the majority from Les Beaux Bruns. This cru seemed to be missing some lift and energy on the nose, coming across rather static in the glass. The fleshy, ripe palate offers maraschino cherries, raspberry preserve and a touch of white pepper. Forward and willing to please, yet not a profound Chambolle-Musigny. Drink 2021-2028.
