Reduction dominates the nose at present. Otherwise there is both good underlying tension and definition to the muscular middle weight plus flavors that flash evident power on the moderately firm and rustic finale. This is very Nuits in character and should age accordingly. Drink from 2031+.

Half old and half young vines, with 7 new barrels out of 10. Fine deep red to purple colour here with an explosive but balanced nose. Not as lush as some cuvees, retaining excellent balance and complex aromatics of dark red fruit, grenadine, slightly blacker fruit on the palate, grainy but ripe tannins, great balance between muscle and finesse. The young vines help the balance here. This could yet grow into a fifth star.
