Other Reviews....
This too is quite aromatically ripe with its aromas of poached plum, cassis and floral wisps. The rich, dense and seductively textured flavors contrast somewhat with the unusually, and certainly for a Fourrier wine, coarse and slightly warm finale.

The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes is showing beautifully, mingling aromas of raspberries, cherries and plums with hints of rose petals and warm spices. Medium to full-bodied, succulent and lively, with a ripe but sappy core of fruit and a finer-boned, more mineral profile than the Morey-Saint-Denis that preceded it.

The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Village has a well-defined bouquet of black cherries, raspberry and touches of iodine, conveying the joie-de-vivre one expects from this appellation. The palate is well defined with a sharp citric edge, vibrant red berry fruit and a liberal sprinkling of white pepper toward the finish. This is a very fine Village Cru from Jean-Marie Fourrier.

From les Mombies and a small part has been raised in amphora. Very intense purple. The nose suggests a balanced ripeness. There is a slight peach note in with the raspberry, but not insistent. Fresh finish behind, holds together very well. The highest alcohol in the cellar but this does not show.
